Kelly Helms, LISW-CP Kelly grew up in South Carolina, moving to Columbia in 1990 to attend the University of South Carolina. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master's in Social Work from USC's College of Social Work. Kelly has been involved in forwarding mental health in South Carolina since 1997. For more that a decade Kelly acted as the South Carolina Coordinator for the Midlands area for Postpartum Support International. She was trained in REBT Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at the Albert Ellis Institute in New York City and EMDR by the EMDR Institute, Inc. Kelly is certified in CBT-I treatment for Insomnia. Through individual and family therapy, Kelly has been successful in treating men, women, and children who suffer from post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, panic, disturbing memories, insomnia, and many other emotional issues. Kelly Helms is a certified parenting trainer, offering one on one parenting classes utilizing a positive parenting approach . Kelly is also a Yoga instructor. Kelly's passion for physical health, as well as emotional well-being, led her to pursue her yoga teaching certification. Additionally, Kelly completed her instruction in Prenatal Yoga through the Yoga Education Institute. Kelly incorporates her use of therapeutic principles into her yoga practice by emphasizing the importance of physical, as well as emotional well-being. In keeping with her mother's tradition, Kelly can often be found practicing with her family.
